Booking

Payment is required to confirm your booking.

Cancellation Policy

Standard Bookings

• More than 30 days before arrival: Full refund.

• Within 30 days of arrival: 50% of the total booking value is non-refundable.

• Within 7 days of arrival: 100% of the total booking value is non-refundable.

Peak Season Bookings (23 December – 3 January)

A special cancellation policy applies for bookings between 23 December and 3 January.

• More than 6 months before arrival: Full refund.

• Within 6 months and up to 3 months before arrival: 10% of the total booking value is non-refundable.

• Within 3 months and up to 30 days before arrival: 25% of the total booking value is non-refundable.

• Within 30 days of arrival: 50% of the total booking value is non-refundable.

• Within 7 days of arrival: 100% of the total booking value is non-refundable.

If your plans change, please let us know as soon as possible. If availability allows, we will always do our best to help you move your booking to another date.

Exceptional circumstances, such as natural disasters or government travel restrictions, will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Please note that weddings and exclusive event bookings have their own cancellation policy.

Your Stay Includes

Your stay includes:

• Exclusive use of the property you have booked.

• Beds made with quality linen and duvets.

• Towels.

• Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap and body lotion.

• Tea, coffee, sugar and basic cooking essentials.

• Complimentary Wi-Fi.

• Continental breakfast for overnight stays at Rathmoy Riverside Lodge.

Daily housekeeping is available on request for an additional charge.

Check-in & Check-out

Check-in: From 3.00 pm.

You may be greeted personally on arrival. If not, the lodge will be unlocked or you will receive a personal access code before your arrival.

Check-out: By 11.00 am.

Staying Safe at Rathmoy Estate

When you visit Rathmoy Estate, you are entering a working sheep and beef farm. While we encourage you to explore and enjoy the property, we ask that you keep the following in mind to help keep everyone safe.

• Drive slowly on the farm roads (maximum 30 km/h). Please note there may be farm vehicles using the roads.

• Some fences may be electric.

• Do not enter paddocks containing livestock unless authorised by Rathmoy Estate.

• Farm tracks and riverbanks can be uneven. Take care when walking and driving around the property.

• The Rangitīkei River can have strong currents. Take care near the water.

• Do not swim close to the White Papa Cliffs, as rocks may occasionally fall from the cliff face.

• Children and pets must always be supervised.

• Firearms may occasionally be used on the farm for pest control or during the duck and pheasant hunting season.

Please take responsibility for your own safety and those in your care while visiting Rathmoy Estate, and please let us know as soon as possible if you notice any hazards, incidents or near misses during your stay.

Looking After the Lodge

We love sharing this piece of paradise with our guests.

While you are here, we want you to feel completely at home, and we kindly ask that you treat the lodge and its surroundings with care and respect.

Guests are responsible for any damage they may cause during their stay. If anything is accidentally damaged during your stay, please let us know as soon as possible. We understand that accidents can happen and appreciate being informed.

Occupancy & Events

Only the number of guests confirmed in your booking may stay at the property unless agreed with Rathmoy Estate beforehand.

Functions, parties and events must be approved before your booking and may incur additional venue hire charges.

We do not accept stag parties or 21st birthday celebrations.

Children

Children are very welcome.

A portacot and a complimentary high chair are available for an additional charge per stay.

Children using a bed are charged at the standard guest rate.

Pets

Well-behaved pets are welcome to stay in the fire room.

Please bring your pet’s own bedding.

Additional cleaning charges may apply if extra cleaning is required.

Smoking

Smoking is permitted outdoors only.

Please use the ash bucket provided to help reduce the risk of fire and keep the property beautiful.

Bond

A security bond may be required for weddings and events.

The bond will be refunded after your stay, less any costs for damage, excessive cleaning or breakages.
